Classification of distribution boxes

There are two commonly used distribution boxes, wooden and metal, because metal distribution boxes have a higher level of protection, so metal distribution boxes are more commonly used.
Classification by structural characteristics and purpose:
(1) Fixed panel switchgear, often referred to as a switch board or distribution panel. It is an open switch cabinet with a panel barrier, with a protective effect on the front and still able to touch the live parts on the back and sides. The protection level is low and can only be used for industrial and mining enterprises with low requirements for power supply continuity and reliability, as a centralized power supply for the substation.
(2) Protective (i.e. enclosed) switchgear refers to a low-voltage switchgear in which all sides except the installation surface are enclosed. The electrical components of this cabinet, such as switches, protection, and monitoring control, are all installed in a closed enclosure made of steel or insulating materials, and can be reliably installed on or off the wall. Each circuit inside the cabinet can be isolated without any isolation measures, or grounded metal plates or insulation boards can be used for isolation. Usually, the door is mechanically interlocked with the main switch operation. In addition, there is a protective platform type switchgear (i.e. control console), which is equipped with control, measurement, signal and other electrical appliances on the panel. The protective switchgear is mainly used as a power distribution device in the process site.
(3) Drawer type switchgear. This type of switchgear is made of steel plate and enclosed in a shell. The electrical components of the incoming and outgoing circuits are installed in withdrawable drawers, forming a functional unit that can complete a certain type of power supply task. The functional unit is separated from the busbar or cable by a grounded metal plate or plastic functional plate, forming three areas: busbar, functional unit, and cable. There are also isolation measures between each functional unit. Drawer type switchgear has high reliability, safety, and interchangeability, making it a relatively advanced switchgear. Most switchgear refers to drawer type switchgear. They are suitable for industrial and mining enterprises, high-rise buildings that require high power supply reliability, and serve as centralized control distribution centers.
(4) Power and lighting distribution control box. Most of them are enclosed vertical installations. The degree of protection provided by the casing varies depending on the usage occasion. They are mainly used as power distribution devices on the production site of industrial and mining enterprises.

1. Welding structure [3]: Simply cut, bend, drill, and weld the sheet metal parts together.
2. Assembly structure: The sheet metal parts are processed separately, and each component is assembled after processing. It is reinforced and locked with screws and tees, with a beautiful appearance and simple operation, which can save a lot of transportation costs.
